Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) / Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring smooth office workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital or clinical settings, possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, and be committed to delivering high-quality service to patients. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and patient advocacy to grow within a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.
  • Assist patients in/out of treatment rooms. Assisting with compression stocking measurements and providing guidance for donning and doffing of stockings.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits.
  • Obtain patient histories.
  • Assist healthcare providers with procedures.
  • Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information into EMR.
  • Answering phones, schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals as needed into EMR.
  • Handle administrative tasks processing paperwork.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
  • Maintain patient care: sterile technique and patient/staff safety.
  • Maintain patient privacy and clinic security.
  • Process transactions through EMR and POS system.
  • Ordering medical and office supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Experience with medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary
  • Excellent communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification as a Medical Office Assistant or related credential is advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and patients alike
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety standards

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
