Duties

• Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture or capillary puncture techniques with accuracy and care
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Label specimens correctly and prepare them for laboratory processing according to established protocols
• Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control procedures
• Document all collection details accurately in patient records and laboratory information systems
• Ensure the cleanliness of all phlebotomy equipment and work areas to uphold hygiene standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited program or equivalent related experience
• Proven experience performing blood draws in a clinical or hospital setting is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and support patients
• Strong attention to detail to ensure specimen integrity and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to blood collection, infection control, and handling biohazard materials
• Proof of Certification or licensure
• Valid driver's license

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
