Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Assiniboine Medical Clinic. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our busy healthcare facility and ensure excellent patient service. This position is vital to maintaining the smooth functioning of our clinic and delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient check-in procedures.
  • Maintain electronic medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently to coordinate patient inquiries.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and billing.
  • Support clinical staff with basic administrative duties as needed.
  • Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth daily operations.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system (Accuro Preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations.
  • Certification or training in medical administration is preferred.
