Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in patient care by expertly collecting blood samples for laboratory testing. Your skills will ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection while providing compassionate service to diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diagnostic processes that directly impact patient health outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using proper techniques and safety protocols, ensuring comfort and minimizing discomfort.
  • Verify patient identities and accurately label specimens to maintain specimen integrity.
  • Prepare collection areas and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and adherence to infection control standards.
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with empathy.
  • Document collection details meticulously in electronic health records or paper logs, following laboratory policies.
  • Assist with processing specimens for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring timely delivery for testing.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and medical terminology protocols to uphold compliance and quality standards.

Experience

  • Prior hospital experience or experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy techniques with a strong understanding of venipuncture procedures.
  • Experience providing compassionate patient care, especially with anxious or pediatric patients.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to laboratory testing and healthcare environments.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
