Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in blood collection and laboratory procedures. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate specimen collection, maintaining patient safety, and supporting diagnostic processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality healthcare services in a dynamic clinical environment.

Duties

  • Collect blood samples from patients using proper venipuncture techniques while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Ensure correct labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  • Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures clearly and addressing patient concerns professionally.
  • Prepare patients for specimen collection by verifying identity and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy areas, following strict sanitation standards.
  • Assist laboratory staff with processing and transporting specimens as needed.
  • Follow all regulatory guidelines and medical terminology standards to ensure compliance and accuracy in specimen collection.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in clinic or laboratory environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques with demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture confidently.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to laboratory procedures and patient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing compassionate patient interactions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification in phlebotomy or related healthcare training is required
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and infection control practices is essential.
