  • You build and develop high-performing teams, and you take pride in growing the people around you
  • You hold yourself and your lab to the highest standards of clinical excellence, backed by strong quality and compliance judgment
  • You can operate autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and adapt quickly when priorities shift
  • You bring outstanding communication and critical thinking skills to align your team, collaborate across departments, and drive top performance

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the laboratory team, including staffing, training, and performance management
  • Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations to support quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Maintain laboratory quality systems and compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures as needed
  • Support continuous improvement and other initiatives as directed by the Chief Scientific Officer
  • Help shape the role by identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and a better experience for our clinic and patients

Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the laboratory and the organization.

Your experience

  • MSc or higher in a chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited educational institution
  • A minimum of 10+ years experience in clinical embryology, including 3+ years in a supervisory role, and including some genetic testing experience
  • Previous experience starting, managing, and running a laboratory
  • CFAS embryologist certification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and accreditation requirements
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems and Google Suite
  • Willing to complete any certification examinations by accredited bodies within an appropriate time frame as required
  • Comfortable delivering bad news or sharing sensitive information
  • Committed to providing person-centered, LGBTQ inclusive, trauma-informed care
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Why Join Twig:
