Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist (MRT) to join our Waterloo team on a full-time or part-time basis. In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic X-ray procedures while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with CMRTO standards and ALARA principles
• Review patient histories, prepare and position patients, and clearly explain procedures in a calm and reassuring manner
• Ensure optimal image quality while strictly maintaining radiation safety protocols
• Provide support to patients throughout the examination process, including assisting with mobility as needed
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, fellow technologists, and administrative staff to provide seamless patient care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following all infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the CMRTO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
• CAMRT certification preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program
• 1–5 years of experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training welcome to apply)
• Current Professional Liability Insurance
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and upholding regulatory standards
• Compassionate, respectful, and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
