What We Do

There has never been a more exciting time to be at WAHA. We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. As a health authority, you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey, in all areas of their health experience. From Primary, Acute, and Mental Health, Dental, Specialty Clinics, Population Health and the WAHA Paramedic Service, the opportunities for growth are boundless. Who You Are

  • Must have extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, radiographic positioning and assessment
  • Knowledge of computers, software and scanners
  • Experience with radiographic equipment, use and protection
  • All proper training pertaining to Medical Radiation Technology
  • Flexible with patient care and workload

What You’ll Do

  • Routine imaging and CT acquisition
  • Holter monitor recordings
  • Provide optimal patient care
  • PACS post processing
  • PACS support
  • Radiographic assessment/quality assurance
  • Radiation Protection
  • Support the Charge MRT when necessary

What You Bring

  • Experience in ultrasound and/ or CT are an asset
  • Graduated from a recognized college/university program in Medical Radiation Technology possessing either a Degree in Medical Radiation Technology or an Advanced Diploma.
  • Continuing education annually as required by the CMRITO
  • Member of the CMRTO and OAMRS/CAMRT is required
  • Mammography Training is an asset
  • Previous experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
  • English is essential for this position
  • Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset

Salary: $38.88 - $52.13
