Quolus Construction Services is an industry-leading construction workforce supplier. We are B.C. owned and operated since 1993, focused on large multi-residential projects spanning the Lower Mainland.

Quolus Construction is currently seeking:

Construction Safety Officers (CSOs) who bring specialized safety expertise to multi-residential developments. Whether working on low-rise wood frame or high-rise concrete projects, CSOs ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and maintain safe job sites.

Core Duties Include:

  • First Aid: Administer advanced first aid, stabilize severe injuries (breathing, bleeding, fractures), and refer patients for further medical assistance.
  • Documentation: Complete first aid forms and patient assessment charts accurately.
  • Safety Orientation: Conduct safety orientations for all applicable on-site personnel.
  • Hazard Assessment: Perform workplace hazard assessments and enforce regulatory and site-specific safety standards.
  • Safety Oversight: Maintain first aid rooms and equipment in a clean, organized, and sterile condition.
  • Training: Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Inspections & Investigations: Carry out workplace investigations, safety inspections, and drills.
  • Site Safety: Build and implement safety barriers and equipment as required.
  • Planning: Create and implement site-specific safety plans.
  • Leadership: Coordinate secondary CSOs and safety personnel, including task delegation.
  • Site Oversight: Monitor safety on complex, large-scale, and high-hazard construction sites.

Specialty Duties:

  • Injury Assessment: Evaluate injuries and illnesses to determine appropriate response.
  • Client Services: Act as a point of contact for clients and assist with coordination such as timesheets.
  • Planning & Leadership: Support safety planning, coordination, and management across large and high-risk projects.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic physical fitness to respond to emergencies.
  • Minimum 1 year of construction OFA experience.
  • Proficient verbal and written English.
  • High school diploma.
  • Occupational First Aid Level 3 (Advanced).
  • Fall Protection certification.
  • WSBC-accredited CSO/NCSO designation.
  • Supervising for Safety certification.
  • Ability to commit to full-time employment.
  • Must own and maintain standard PPE.
