This position is required to be on-site and requires the ability to travel as a large percentage of the job, sometimes at short notice.


What You'll Do:


  • Responsible for the safety of passengers, crew members, ground crew during all aircraft operations
  • Ensure the aircraft is operated safely in accordance with applicable all applicable Aviation Regulations, Nutrien Operation’s Operating Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Complete pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure that the aircraft is prepared for flight
  • Be an active member of the department’s safety management system
  • Collaborate with fellow crew members to mitigate risks for all flight conditions and notify passengers if a change to flight itinerary is necessary
  • React quickly and appropriately to environmental changes and emergencies
  • Ensure operational integrity of flight department
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Nutrien Chief Pilot Canada or Operations Manager

What You'll Bring:


  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of professional aviation experience
  • Canadian ATPL License
  • Minimum Total Flight Time 5000 hours
  • Minimum 3000 hours Pilot in Command
  • Minimum of 2000 hours, Jet experience
  • Corporate Flight Department experience
  • Large corporate jet experience and international flight experience are strong assets. Currency/Experience on Gulfstream G550/450 is considered beneficial
  • Transport Canada First Class Medical
  • Ability to cross International Borders
  • No incidents or accidents under the CARs
  • No convictions that would prevent holding driver’s license or ATPL
