Full job description

We are seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic! (ACP)

We are hiring for an Advanced Care Paramedic position in British Columbia / Yukon. Travel and accommodations provided in a camp environment. Medics will be supporting an mine project in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia or Yukon. Medics registered in AB can support the Yukon dual registered medics can support both Yukon and/or BC projects.

This is for Casual work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely respond to emergency and non-emergency scenes within established guidelines.
  • Take direction from operations officers in matters pertaining to medical response.
  • Perform routine duties related to shift operations in areas such as apparatus/equipment maintenance, reports, station maintenance, etc.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Perform basic administrative functions.
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (minimum required):

  • 3 or more years of paramedic experience
  • Previous experience working in an industrial setting required
  • ACP licensed to work in British Columbia or Alberta
  • Completed related post secondary education.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • Valid unrestricted drivers License and current and clean Driver’s Abstract·
  • Current Standard Field Level Tickets,
  • Familiar with WorkSafe BC
  • Familiar with supporting Occupational Health programs
  • Physically capable of working in adverse weather environment and conditions
