Job Summary

Installation Technician (Medical Device/Healthcare Equipment)

Full-time

OVERVIEW: The Installation Technician will be primarily involved with the installation, service, and preventative maintenance of products in all kinds of health care facilities throughout Alberta. This is an entry to experienced level construction position, no experience required but preferred.


What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for on-site installations, commissioning, and coordination of company products in their entirety.

  • Arrange site storage for products and materials as needed for installation projects.

  • Coordinate installations with customer and project manager.

  • Construction related activities including but limited to reading blueprints, layouts, measuring, cut, drill, assemble and install all lift system components according to company standards.

  • Perform load tests on the installed track and test operation of lift equipment.

  • Coordinate with the supervisor to advise of daily site progress and work through any issues encountered.

  • Maintain the company vehicle in good operating condition and cleanliness.

  • Daily Travel to different jobsite in accordance with schedule.

  • Accurate and regular expense reporting.

  • Additional responsibilities as requested by supervisor.


What you must have:

  • Basic Knowledge and experience in construction, building, hardware, and installations is preferred.

  • Competency with various construction tools needed to complete a successful installation (hammer drill, chop saw, band saw, hand tools, tape measure, line lasers, etc.) is preferred.

  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and scissors lifts for extended periods of time.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble hardware & components.

  • Able to read and interpret written information, construction drawings and room layouts.

  • Able to travel up to 50%.

  • Valid Driver’s License with minimal infractions.

Travel:

  • This position travels up to 50% or more of the time.


Salary/Rate Range:
$29.00 - $33.00
