Job Summary
GES is seeking to add a newly created position for a highly motivated, results‑driven Digital Marketing Specialist to support our Canadian marketing efforts across digital channels. This role will focus on content development and campaign execution for the GES Canada and ShowTech websites, while supporting Canadian sales teams, in‑house venue programs, and national campaigns.

The ideal candidate brings a strong digital marketing foundation, experience in B2B and/or the trade show and events industry, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Bilingual English/French capability is strongly preferred.

Duties

  • Execute Digital Marketing Strategies (Canada Focus)
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns supporting GES Canada, ShowTech, and in‑house venue services

Content & Web Management

  • Own and manage content for the GES Canada and ShowTech websites
  • Create and publish webpages, landing pages, and campaign content aligned with marketing and sales priorities
  • Develop case stories, client highlights, and venue‑specific content
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment

Social Media Management

  • Create and manage social content supporting Canadian initiatives and campaigns
  • Execute social strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and traffic
  • Monitor channels for engagement, mentions, and insights
  • Schedule and manage photo and video shoots.

Website Optimization & SEO

  • Optimize website content for search performance and user experience
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior to drive continuous improvement

Paid & Digital Advertising

  • Develop and manage paid media campaigns (Google Ads, social platforms, etc.)
  • Monitor performance, optimize budgets, and improve ROI
  • Track and analyze key metrics to assess campaign effectiveness

Email Marketing

  • Create and execute email marketing campaigns supporting Canadian audiences
  • Segment lists, personalize messaging, and nurture leads
  • Monitor performance and optimize for engagement and conversion

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track KPIs and measure campaign performance across channels
  • Produce regular reports and actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Use data to inform decisions and optimize future campaigns

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Experience

  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience
  • B2B marketing experience required
  • Trade show, exhibitions, events, or venue industry experience strongly preferred

Skills

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices
  • Hands‑on experience with SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content marketing
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and marketing analytics tools
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Design sensibility; experience with graphic design and video editing tools preferred
  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects independently

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside in Canada
  • Preference for candidates based in Toronto, but open to other locations
  • Bilingual English/French strongly preferred
  • Google Ads, Analytics, or related certifications considered an asset
