Full job description

Company Overview
Lenscan Medical Inc. is a dynamic and growing medical equipment company based in Waterloo, Ontario. We specialize in providing advanced ophthalmic and optometry diagnostic instruments—including lens scanning devices, tonometers, and perimeters—to eye care professionals. We are looking for a highly motivated, tech-savvy recent graduate to grow with us and bridge the gap between our innovative products and our customers.

About the Role: Are you a recent university graduate who loves technology and enjoys interacting with people? We are seeking an entry-level Technical Marketing and Sales Specialist to join our team. In this hybrid role, we will provide comprehensive training to help you become our product expert. You will learn to translate complex technical specifications into compelling marketing messages, coordinate optometry trade shows, provide technical support to our clients, and engage directly in technical sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Mastery: Participate in hands-on training to deeply understand the technical functionalities of our medical device portfolio (including perimeters, tonometers, and optical instruments).
  • Technical Marketing: Assist in creating engaging and accurate technical marketing content for our website, social media, and product brochures.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Support the organization, planning, and execution of company appearances at optometry trade shows and industry conventions.
  • Technical Sales & Support: Engage directly with prospective and existing customers. Under guidance, learn to explain how our equipment meets their clinical needs, provide remote troubleshooting (e.g., via WhatsApp video or phone), and guide clients through equipment installation.
  • Operations Support: Assist with internal operational tasks, including processing quotes and preparing product documentation.

Qualifications (What we are looking for):

  • Education: A recent Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Tech-Savvy & Fast Learner: You don't need years of experience, but you must have a strong technical aptitude and a genuine enthusiasm for learning how complex equipment and software work.
  • Bilingual Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required for client-facing duties. Additionally, professional proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) is highly required, as you will frequently liaise and coordinate with our manufacturing partners in China.
  • Attitude: Highly organized, proactive, and a team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other Requirements: A valid Ontario Driver’s License and a willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows or client visits.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Dental care
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
