Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, sterilization, and proper handling of dental instruments and equipment, maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment in a fast-paced dental setting.

Duties

  • Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved methods and equipment
  • Prepare sterilized instruments for patient procedures, ensuring they are ready for use
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument inventory
  • Assist with the handling and storage of sterile supplies in accordance with safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all infection control policies and OSHA regulations
  • Assist dental staff with instrument transfer and setup during procedures as needed
  • Regularly inspect sterilization equipment for proper functioning and report any malfunctions

Skills

  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards in a healthcare setting
