Location: Dalwin College - Markham, ON

Position Type: Part-Time (Hybrid or In-Person)

About Dalwin College
Dalwin College is dedicated to providing quality education that empowers mature students to achieve their goals and make meaningful contributions to their communities. As we expand our Health Services Administration & Management (HSAM) program, we are seeking an experienced Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction and prepare students for leadership roles in healthcare administration.

Position Overview

We are looking for an engaging, knowledgeable, and organized instructor with real-world experience in healthcare management to teach courses within the Health Services Administration & Management program.

Theideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, medical office management, or related fields;a passion for adult education; and a proven ability to guide students to success.

Instruction Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day Classes: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM (on-campus/hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & Deliver Curriculum – Teach engaging and structured lessons that combine theory and practical applications of healthcare administration.
  • Support Student Learning – Guide students through case studies, industry best practices, and real-world problem-solving exercises.
  • Assess Student Progress – Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and projects fairly and consistently.
  • Course Planning & Enhancement – Develop and refine course materials to ensure alignment with current industry trends and regulations.
  • Provide Career Guidance – Offer support with job readiness, resume preparation, and industry expectations.
  • Monitor Compliance & Regulations – Ensure all instructional content complies with healthcare administration standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Health Services Administration, Medical Office Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in healthcare administration, medical office management, or related fields.
  • Previous teaching, training, or mentorship experience (post-secondary or adult education experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare systems, policies, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Electronic Medical Records (EMR), billing systems, MS Office, or other healthcare admin tools).
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with student-centered learning, multi-modal teaching strategies, and adult education methodologies is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but Strongly Considered)

  • Teaching experience in private career colleges or post-secondary institutions.
  • Certified Healthcare Administrator (CHA), Certified Health Executive (CHE), or equivalent designation is an asset.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards for private career colleges.
