Medical Office Assistant

Full Time

Red Deer, AB

With the continued expansion of our clinic, we are excited to welcome another dedicated team member to our growing team. This full-time Medical Office Assistant position supports a busy clinical environment and provides front-line administrative support to patients, physicians, and clinic staff.

The position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend or STAT coverage if needed.

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and hardworking individual who demonstrates:

  • Flexibility and strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
  • A commitment to producing high-quality work with strong accountability and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • A consistently positive and professional attitude that contributes to a supportive and welcoming workplace
  • Initiative in identifying tasks and supporting team needs without direct supervision

Experience with EMR systems, particularly CHR, is considered an asset.

Please note: Only candidates with Medical Office Assistant experience will be considered.

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative tasks, including answering phones, faxing, and greeting patients
  • Schedule appointments, complete patient callbacks, and confirm bookings
  • Relay information clearly and accurately to patients, staff, and physicians
  • Process invoices and collect payments for uninsured or non–Alberta Health Care-covered services
  • Provide administrative support to physicians and clinic staff
  • Maintain exam rooms and reception areas as required
