VCA Canada is welcoming a Multi-Site Practice Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a network of veterinary hospitals in Toronto. In this role, you will lead the operations of your primary hospital, Kew Beach Animal Hospital, while providing leadership and oversight across additional locations, including Beaches Animal Hospital and Downtown Animal Hospital.

Working closely with Medical Directors, Hospital Managers, the Regional Operations Director, and VCA Support Office teams, you will drive operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and an exceptional experience for our associates, clients, and patients across all locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide multi-site leadership and coach Hospital Managers to build high-performing teams, optimize operations, and achieve business goals.
  • Ensure hospitals are appropriately staffed and supported to deliver exceptional patient care, client service, and associate engagement.
  • Develop and manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement strategies that support sustainable growth and operational success.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen processes, and enhance the overall hospital experience.
  • Partner with VCA Medical Operations and Regional Leadership to implement strategic initiatives, training programs, and talent development opportunities, including VCA Academy, student rotations, internships, and tradeshows.
  • Build strong relationships with associates, clients, educational institutions, industry partners, and VCA Support Office teams.
  • Champion VCA Canada programs and community initiatives, including The Pet Pantry and Shelter & Rescue Program.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence through regular hospital visits, communication, and support of hospital teams.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations and people management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, analyzing performance metrics, and driving results.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Passion for people, animals, and delivering exceptional care.
