We are currently seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our Victoria team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and administrative support.

Position Summary

The Medical Office Assistant plays an essential role in supporting clinic operations by coordinating patient care, managing scheduling and communication, and ensuring a seamless patient experience from referral through follow-up.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients in a welcoming and professional manner
  • Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up bookings
  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system
  • Process referrals, requisitions, and medical documentation
  • Liaise with physicians, allied health providers, and external clinics
  • Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative tasks
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards
  • Assist with clinic flow and day-to-day office operations
  • Perform billing, data entry, and general administrative duties as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a medical clinic or healthcare environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach
