We are looking for a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Medical Aesthetician/ Medical Office Assistant to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

This unique position combines medical office support, hands-on assistance to our physician during appointments and procedures, and patient education surrounding skincare and aesthetic treatment options.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of skin health, enjoys helping patients navigate their treatment options, and feels confident making appropriate skincare and procedure recommendations within their scope of practice.

You will play an important role in the patient journey, helping ensure appointments run smoothly while creating an elevated experience from the moment a patient walks through our doors.

The focus is on assisting the physician, supporting procedures, educating patients, and helping patients understand the skincare and aesthetic services best suited to their goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Physician Support

• Assist the physician during medical aesthetic appointments, consultations, and procedures as required.
• Prepare treatment rooms, organize supplies, and ensure equipment and materials are ready for appointments.
• Assist with patient preparation, room turnover, and post-procedure care instructions as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
• Support efficient patient flow and communicate effectively with the physician and clinical team.

Skincare & Aesthetic Patient Education

• Educate patients on skincare products, skin health, and appropriate home-care routines.
• Recommend suitable professional skincare products based on individual skin concerns, treatment goals, and the clinic's protocols.
• Help patients understand available aesthetic procedures and treatment options, referring clinical questions to the physician or appropriate provider when necessary.
• Support consultations by documenting patient concerns, treatment interests, and recommendations.
• Explain treatment plans, product pricing, and available options to help patients make informed decisions.
• Assist with patient follow-ups, skincare education, and continuity of care.
• Maintain current knowledge of professional skincare lines, ingredients, and medical aesthetic treatments.

Medical Office Administration

• Assist with appointment scheduling, patient communication, and follow-up calls or messages.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within our electronic medical record systems.
• Support check-in and check-out, payment processing, and general administrative duties as needed.
• Monitor clinical supplies and skincare inventory, assisting with ordering and organization.
• Help maintain an organized schedule and a positive, seamless patient experience.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who brings a combination of clinical awareness, skincare knowledge, professionalism, and exceptional patient service.

Required or preferred qualifications include:

• A diploma or certification in Clinical Aesthetics, Medical Aesthetics, or a related field is required
• Previous experience in medical aesthetics, skincare, or a medical clinic is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of skin health, skincare ingredients, professional skincare products, and common aesthetic treatment options.
• Experience assisting physicians or other healthcare providers is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain products and treatment options in a clear, approachable manner.
• A patient-first mindset, with a genuine interest in education and personalized recommendations rather than high-pressure sales.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort using electronic medical record systems; experience with Jane App or Med Access is an asset.
• A willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic.
