Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dermatology Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a clinical setting, assisting the dermatologist with various procedures and ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. Previous healthcare experience or international medical experience is a strong added bonus.

Duties

  • Assist dermatologist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are prepared and available.
  • Provide direct patient care by preparing patients for their appointments, including taking medical histories, reason for visit and vital signs.
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer any questions they may have regarding their treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up calls to enhance overall patient experience.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the examination rooms and treatment areas to promote a safe environment.

Experience

  • Previous medical experience is preferred, with a focus on dermatology or related fields being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the clinical setting.
  • Experience in patient care roles, demonstrating compassion and professionalism when interacting with patients.
