Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where your skills in dental assisting and patient communication are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic, surgical and implants.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort
  • Manage patient records accurately using dental software such Dentrix or Curve
  • Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks related to patient flow
  • Support the dental reception team with administrative duties when required

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a solid understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of general dentistry procedures
  • Familiarity with Itero
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
