Ocular Health Centre is a leading ophthalmology clinic with two locations and a team of eight skilled surgeons dedicated to providing exceptional eye care. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our patients through advanced medical treatments and compassionate care.

Summary

We are seeking a Technician to join our dynamic team at Ocular Health Centre. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our ophthalmic services by assisting with patient care and ensuring smooth operations within our clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient examinations and procedures under the supervision of ophthalmologists.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation using electronic medical records systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and answering inquiries.
  • Support the optical department with sales and fitting of eyewear as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and office spaces.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patient care practices and medical terminology.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records systems; familiarity with Epic is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Customer service experience, particularly in retail or healthcare, is beneficial.
