Full job description

Position available for a part-time or full-time pharmacy assistant or registered pharmacy technician for 20-40 hours per week. Previous recent pharmacy experience is required. Must be comfortable with inputting and processing prescriptions and billing to insurances. Friendly, energetic and able to work well with others.

Requirements (education, skills, licenses, etc.)

-Strong command of the English language (required)

-Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills (required)

-Experience with Kroll or Fillware software (recommended)

-recent pharmacy experience (required)

-familiar with brand and generic drug names (required)

-very comfortable using pharmacy SIG's (example: BID, TID, PRN, etc.) (required)

Responsibilities & purpose of this job

-accurately input prescription information, fill and dispense medications, cashing out patients/customers

-dealing with insurance companies

-communicating with doctors and other medical staff

-must have an interest in compounding or learning to compound

-compounding suspensions, creams, suppositories, capsules, etc.

-helping and communicating with patients/customers for their prescription and OTC needs

-filing documentation and record maintenance

-ordering and receiving prescription and OTC stock

-compliance packaging

-basic computer skills such as word processing

-maintenance, organization, and any other pharmacy and pharmacist supportive functions

-cleaning, and ensuring orderly pharmacy work environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$28.00 per hour
