Are you an experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) seeking a new opportunity? Purple Medical Clinic, located in Mission, BC, is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. As an MOA, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient care and providing essential support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Reception and Administrative Duties
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will handle various reception and administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, booking appointments, greeting patients, and processing payments. Your role is crucial in making sure each patient’s visit to our clinic is smooth and pleasant.

Maintaining a Safe Environment
Safety is a top priority at Purple Medical Clinic, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. You will be responsible for preparing examination rooms in compliance with COVID-19 regulations, which includes disinfecting surfaces, ensuring the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Managing Medical Records and EMR Systems
Experience with Med Access EMR is essential for this role. You will manage bookings, billing, and patient records using the system, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. You will also handle tasks such as scanning documents and maintaining digital records.

Supporting Patients and Addressing Concerns
Patient care is at the heart of what we do. In this role, you will provide support to patients by answering their questions, addressing their concerns, and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.

Your Qualifications

Experience and Skills
To succeed in this role, you must have at least one year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant and be familiar with JUNO EMR. You should possess excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
