Summary

We are seeking a Veterinary Office Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact with the clinic, this role is vital in supporting our daily operations and ensuring excellent client service. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering top-quality veterinary care with professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Handle phone and email inquiries and provide accurate information to clients.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and filing efficiently.
  • Prepare invoices and receive payments
  • Assist technicians and veterinarians, if the need arises
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Veterinary Office Assistant/Receptionist program and/or a minimum of one year experience as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic (or related facility) is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
