Full job description

Looking for someone energetic, friendly, and with strong communication skills for a Medical Administrative Assistant job at a family physician’s office.

The eligible candidate will have flexibility for all shifts including some Saturdays and Medical Receptionist experience or education.

  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Answering clinic phone calls (multiple lines)
  • Faxing and scanning medical documents through EMR system (Oscar)
  • Perform administrative tasks and troubleshooting as necessary for the smooth operation of the clinic (i.e. contacting IT or EMR providers for technical assistance)
  • Managing patient referrals
  • Communicating with specialist offices, pharmacies, medical imaging, etc. as required
  • OHIP and third party billing at direction of physician

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Receptionist program
  • Previous experience in a medical office
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records System (EMR)
