Full job description

“OPARC” is a high-volume clinic with 60-100+ patients a day that offers several different medical services including Medical Assessments.

Recommended Training and Experience:

- Diploma/certificate in Medical Office Administration / Receptionist or similar work experience in a medical and/or public service environment

- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment required

- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical record systems (Universal Scheduling, Telus eClaims is preferred)

***The required hours are below and non-negotiable, please DO NOT apply if you cannot commit to these hours.***

  • Monday - 10:00-7:45pm
  • Tuesday - 10:00-7:45pm
  • Wednesday - 10:00-7:45pm
  • Thursday - 10:00-7:45pm
  • Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm
  • 2 Saturdays a month 8:30am-2:00pm

Pay & Benefits Information

- Full-time hourly position

- Starting wage is dependent upon training and experience

Examples of Duties

- Greet all patients/visitors to the clinic and answer/direct inquiries

- Responsible for answering all phone calls and email queries from existing and referred patients

- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients with our office and for specialist appointments including arranging transportation to the clinic

- Contact and schedule potential new patients

- Collect payments as applicable and provide billing information when requested

- Provide office support services, including filing, faxing, scanning documents into the booking system, photocopying, data entry

- Develop professional, respectful relationships with our patients

- Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic
