About the Opportunity

Giffen LLP is seeking a Wills and Estates Legal Assistant to join our dynamic wills and estates team. In this key role, you will provide comprehensive support to our lawyers and clerks on a wide range of matters, working with reputable clients and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. We value mentorship and are committed to helping you develop your career with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting estate planning documents including wills, codicils, powers of attorney for property and personal care
  • Assist in the administration of estates matters
  • Maintain and organize estate files, ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with legal deadlines
  • Professional and sensitive approach in all communications with clients, beneficiaries and estate trustees
  • Familiarity with eState, Estateably, Microsoft Office and Clio are an asset
