Company Overview

S-FAB Fabrication Inc. is growing and we are looking for a talented Laser Operator to join our team! We offer competitive salary and benefits for our dynamic team. Facility is located in Georgetown.

DAY SHIFT: Monday to Thursday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm

AFTERNOON SHIFT: Monday to Thursday: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and program laser machine utilizing various CNC programs.
  • Must have 5 years experience with maintenance and trouble shooting on lasers.
  • Carry out quality checks on an ongoing basis to ensure job is within tolerance.
  • Follow and participate in 4DX activities.
  • Follow and participate in 5S activities.
  • Ensure pre-start checks are complete.
  • Perform daily and weekly maintenance / troubleshooting of laser equipment as required.
  • Meet tight deadlines and production needs as required.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting programming problems on machine.
  • Utilize material handling equipment as required.
  • Experience with jib cranes and overhead cranes.
  • Forklift certified operator.
  • Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous exposure to Laser operations.
  • Previous related automotive manufacturing experience an asset.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy objects, including continuous standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing for 8-hour shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
