Job Description


To provide quality patient care to postpartum women and new-born patients and to support the breastfeeding experience.


Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification required at time of hire
  • Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience as an IBCLC required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical setting providing direct patient care for breastfeeding preferred
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred
  • Preferred candidates will demonstrate ongoing professional development through recognized courses in Maternal and/or Newborn Nursing (e.g., Perinatal Nursing, Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS], etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with families
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Good team player
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Hours:
Monday to Friday - Days; 0800-1600 (hours subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary: $42.72 to $59.33 per hour
