Full job description

Sky Blue Water Inc. is a Bottling Company that produces and manages private label bottled water programs for many large retail customers. Our bottling operation has an opening for a full-time QA Technician working 8 hours per day on rotating shifts of either day, evening or overnight.

Job duties:

  • Start and/or stop the production line.
  • Perform sanitation duties and pre-operational inspections.
  • Perform QC monitoring during production periods.
  • Collect samples to perform microbiological, chemical, and organoleptic analysis.
  • Perform equipment calibrations.
  • Perform food safety and quality systems verifications and inspection.
  • Accurately record results.
  • Maintain retention sample inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist operators with daily production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies and qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Previous working in food manufacturing or lab experience would be an asset.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba class 5 driver's licence.
  • Must be able and willing to work various hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 kgs.
