Account Manager - Client Relationship & Business Development

We're seeking a dynamic Account Manager to serve as the primary relationship manager for our clients and prospects, driving growth through strategic engagement and exceptional service delivery.

Compensation: We offer a competitive base salary plus a healthy commission structure that rewards your success in building client relationships and driving revenue growth. Also included are flexible hours, ability to work remotely, health benefits and RRSP matching

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation manager for assigned clients, advocating for their needs and requirements
  • Manage client relationships through our CRM system, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-through
  • Schedule and conduct regular client engagements including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Annual Business Reviews (ABRs), and company events
  • Support Project Managers during project delivery to ensure seamless client experience

Business Development & Sales

  • Generate new client opportunities through diverse lead-generation strategies
  • Present company services and conduct product demonstrations to prospects and existing clients
  • Close sales for proposals, projects, and contract agreements, including initial procurement orders
  • Maximize adoption of our products and services within each client organization
  • Ensure clients are fully aware of our complete range of offerings

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work with product specialists and vendors to deliver compelling client presentations
  • Partner with Solution Architects for technical designs following our sales process
  • Create professional client proposals using provided templates
  • Deliver monthly reporting on quotes, sales pipeline, and key performance indicators
  • Follow established goals and objectives outlined in KPI documentation

Additional Duties

  • Address Account Receivable escalations promptly and keep stakeholders informed
  • Adhere to documented sales processes and utilize company Resource Guide

Requirements:

Experience

  • Professional sales experience with a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or high-tech/service industry
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Solution selling experience with strong account and relationship management skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with IT services and solutions (Cyber Security, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and backup/disaster recovery knowledge preferred)

Skills

  • Ability to build rapport and trust with C-level executives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable multitasking and managing multiple client relationships

Education

  • One of the following is required: a) Degree or Diploma or b) Microsoft Certifications. Other industry certifications would be an asset.
