Can you drill down from a general request to the exact tool or part a client is looking for? Do you know how to ask questions to get the information you need to help solve the problem?

Do you love reading catalogs and figuring out what goes with what? Do you love watching machining videos on YouTube? The bigger the lathe the better? Do you have some experience with tools & machinery for metalworking, woodworking, or plastics?

We have a GREAT opportunity in our Delta, BC location for an Inside Sales Branch Associate. This person is the smiling face that greets our customers both on the phone and at the front counter, Monday – Friday (7.5-8 hours between 8a.m. - 4:30p.m.) No two days are alike – you’ll be working at the front counter, on the phones, by email and zoom, and in the warehouse.

In this position, you will assist customers face-to-face and by phone, providing superior customer service with product inquiries. The responsibilities of the role are entering customer orders, generating sales, up selling and cross-selling product, identifying sales opportunities and growing clients. As well as you will be working in our warehouse, picking customer orders, assisting with shipping and receiving, and inventory counts. this is a small team where everyone is an essential part of the mix.

You are not an order taker, you’re an order MAKER - you are building relationships with our clients, asking the questions to get to better understand and know our clients, introducing new products, mentioning value, and adding additional contacts within existing accounts that could lead to developing new accounts or to further assist them in other areas of their business.

Requirements:
Our ideal candidate has 2-5 years, or more, of inside sales experience; experience working in a branch based B2B environment, on a pro-desk, parts counter, or a front counter. Warehouse experience is also a plus. Tooling experience is not mandatory, but highly desired.

We are looking for someone who is high-energy, motivated, and enjoys being client-facing. Strong attention to detail is necessary in this position. This position also requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and computer skills. P21 experience is a plus!
