Full job description

YCL Structural Designs Ltd. is structural engineering design firm located in Toronto specializing in residential structures. We are looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our motivated team of young professionals. Ideally, the new candidate has their P.Eng. designation, or is otherwise within a year of obtaining their P.Eng. designation.

Your main tasks would involve:

- Structural engineering design of residential structures

- Attending construction sites to take general notes, measurements, photos, etc.

- Site report preparation

Other occasional tasks would involve:

- Site measure and drafting of existing residential floor plans using AutoCAD

- Drafting of custom structural design details using AutoCAD

- Implementing markups (redlines) from more senior structural engineers to produce structural residential permit drawings

- Preparation of building permit application forms

- Office administrative tasks such as taking/making phone calls, filing, organizing etc.

- General assistance to the structural engineer

- Must have a valid Ontario Drivers License and access to your own vehicle to travel to and from job sites

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
