If you're a Level 2 or 3 refrigeration apprentice looking for a place to continue a career - not just another job - this is the opportunity you've been waiting for! SCMI provides many long-term employment opportunities with very low turnover. This is a construction position with set hours (no on call, and little to no overtime) - be home with your family every evening!

Responsibilities:

  • Install heating and air conditioning equipment and ventilation systems on commercial jobsites
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Maintain jobsites, tools, and materials
  • Prepare written material lists as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Registered Level 2 or 3 Refrigeration and AC Mechanic apprentice
  • Must have a valid MOPIA license
  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license
  • Have daily reliable transportation to and from jobsites within Winnipeg and the surrounding areas
  • Willing to work as part of a team or independently with little direction
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Possess a willingness to learn new skills and procedures
