Position Summary:
We are seeking a full time/permanent responsible custodian to maintain our facility. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role with focuses on building upkeep and cleaning. Candidate must have experience with the following duties and responsibilities and able to work evening and weekends.

Typical Duties:

  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing floors
  • Carpet cleaning
  • Floor re-surfacing programs
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of washrooms
  • Removal of garbage and recycling services
  • Window Cleaning
  • Rooms and office cleaning

Qualifications:

  • 'G' class driver’s license in conjunction with a clean driving record
  • Sound knowledge of all cleaning duties and responsibilities
  • Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of building/commercial cleaning experience

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Bending and crouching is required
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of chemicals and equipment related to profession
  • Adhere to all Health & safety regulations
  • Team player

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
