SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Established in 2011, NWIC Inc. delivers reliable wireless internet solutions to residential and commercial customers throughout the Niagara Region and Haldimand County. With more than 2,500 square kilometers of network coverage and over 70 active sites, we provide high-speed wireless internet services to homes, businesses, farms, and remote locations across both urban and rural communities.

Our mission is to bridge connectivity gaps by bringing dependable internet access to areas where traditional broadband options may be limited or unavailable. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to investing in our network, technology, and people to deliver exceptional service and support the communities and businesses we serve.

Position Summary

NWIC is hiring an experienced Sales Representative to grow and retain our customer base across our network area. This full-cycle sales role is responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and supporting both inbound and outbound sales activities across our residential and commercial service lines.

You'll sell wireless internet solutions to everyone from homeowners in rural Niagara to small business owners and IT leaders at larger organizations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who is adaptable, comfortable shifting between residential and commercial opportunities as business needs evolve, and confident working independently to achieve results.

This position offers a hybrid salary & commission structure and is an in-office position that requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory. The role also includes representing NWIC at community events, trade shows, networking functions, and industry events, some of which may occur outside of regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new residential and commercial sales revenue through inbound and outbound activity and event participation
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing and contract signing
  • Nurture and retain existing residential and commercial customers, identifying opportunities for upselling, contract renewal and seeking referrals
  • Conduct in-person meetings and site visits with business owners, IT managers, and other decision-makers
  • Present standard product packages and develop tailored wireless internet solutions where needed, including primary connectivity and backup/failover configurations
  • Collaborate with the technical team on site feasibility assessments and customer-specific solution design
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline and activity tracking in the company CRM
  • Achieve assigned residential and commercial sales targets and KPIs
  • Represent NWIC at local networking events, chamber functions, tradeshows, and community outreach activities (some during and after regular business hours)
  • Stay current on NWIC products, offerings, and specifications through ongoing training

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven sales success (B2B and/or B2C), with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and move fluidly between outbound prospecting, inbound response, and existing-customer needs
  • A genuine team player who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing to the success of a small team
  • Self-motivated hunter mentality with demonstrated outbound prospecting ability
  • Strong CRM discipline and pipeline-management habits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Technology literacy and the ability to credibly discuss internet and connectivity with both residential and business customers
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. For work-related travel, a Company vehicle will be provided when one is available. In instances where a Company vehicle may not be available, the Company will provide a per-kilometer reimbursement at the CRA-designated rate
  • Ability to work from the office daily and travel within the assigned territory as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), including working within rural markets and selling to small and medium-sized businesses
  • Experience selling telecom, ISP, managed IT, or comparable technical services into both residential and commercial customers
  • Working knowledge of wireline and wireless internet networking, and connectivity concepts

Why Join Us

Join a dynamic, community-driven team where your work directly fuels growth and connectivity across the region. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by bringing reliable internet solutions to the homes and businesses that need them most, while building meaningful client relationships and driving results in a supportive, high-energy sales environment.

We offer:

  • 100% Employer paid Group Benefits
  • Critical Life Insurance
  • Generous PTO and medical leave
  • Cell phone allowance
  • Professional training and development opportunities
