As far as Toronto goes, depends on the role. 40 hrs a week is the standard, but when you show up and leave can often be flexible. Some show up as early as 9, most are around 10:30/11 I'd say. Remote work is also an option for many.

There are plenty of resources online to help you interview. Do your research on the interview process and ask the recruiter for help, they can help you prepare and make sure you are on the right track. A lot of people have to apply multiple times before they get in, don't get discouraged.
