Clinical Assistant– Niagara Diabetes and Endocrinology:

Looking for a team member who can bring their clinical experience to my outpatient Diabetes practice by maximizing efficiency and improving patient flow & experience. I am looking for applicants who are committed, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills within the medical field.

Description:

  • Successful candidates will work in a medical clinic focused on diabetes.
  • Hours of Work: approx 8am-4pm : 7-8 days per month, averaged over a year.
  • Main Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Obtaining and recording waist circumference, vital signs and physical exam including foot exam.
  • Obtain relevant history, prepare and fax clinic encounter notes to referring doctors.
  • Communication with patients, pharmacies and other offices on behalf of the physician.
  • Maintaining electronic medical record with up to date test results, medication list, allergies etc.
  • Performance Requirements:
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent computer and word processing skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy outpatient clinic
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in a medical office.
  • International Medical Graduates preparing for licensing exams and looking for work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience using Accuro health EMR an asset (however training will be provided to employees)

Salary – to be determined, based on experience and qualification

Estimated start date – Aug 2026
