Full job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Operations team, this position requires performing Exercise Stress tests, Stress portion of Stress Echos, ECGs, Holters.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Cardiac Technician diploma (or equivalent) with active registration and membership in good standing with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) (or similar).
  • Recent experience in a clinical setting performing Stress echos/ Exercise stress tests and Holter hook ups.
  • Experience with performing holter scanning an asset. Working knowledge of EDAN and NORTH-EAST Holter Software an asset.
  • Ability to follow full protocol as per Cardiac Care Network Guidelines to perform Stress Echos.
  • Demonstrated advanced arrhythmia interpretation skills.
  • CPR training/ certification

EXPERIENCE

New graduates are welcome to apply. Training will be provided. Clinical experience an asset.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform stress echos as per CCN protocol in a busy clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on arrhythmia interpretation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be technically thorough in inputting relevant information into PACS system.
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting of GE/ EDAN equipment an asset.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports for physician interpretation.
  • Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal), organization and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively relate to client/patient population and possess exceptional bed side manners.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and improving individual competence.

This job requires for you to travel to different scheduled clinics within GTA on scheduled clinic days- Kindly ONLY apply for the position if you are flexible to travel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
