Personal Lines Insurance Advisor - Coquitlam, BC

Location: 152 – 1960 Como Lake Ave. Coquitlam, BC

Job Summary

Johnston Meier Insurance has a position available for a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor at our Como Lake office in Coquitlam, BC. If you have a General Insurance Level 2 License and at least one year of insurance office experience, we'd like to hear from you. See jmins.com/careers for more details.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients
  • New quotes on all Personal Lines types of business
  • Provide renewal terms and optional quotes
  • Update evaluators when necessary
  • Coverage for Auto Insurance when required.
  • Offer additional products to provide Complete Customer Portfolios
  • Keep detailed notes on our Computer System at all times (Paperless Environment)
  • Keep abeyances updated and current
  • Accounts Receivable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Level 1 Insurance license and willing to earn a Level 2 within 18 months
  • Level 2 General Insurance Salesperson License preferred
  • At least one year of insurance office experience
  • Strong communication skills to apply to underwriters, customers, and team members.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service
  • Flexible in job duties and/or hours as necessary
  • Company Portal knowledge is an asset
  • Computer skills, including working knowledge of Word & Excel
