Full job description

SALES REP NS & NF, HYDRO-MECHANICAL SALES LTD.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the sales process and as a result be able to prospect clients and close deals. They should be well organized and be able to manage the daily operations of assigned accounts. In order to continue to generate revenue, this candidate should be able to uncover new client needs and find a way to add value to their business. The candidate will represent industry leading plumbing and heating manufacturers. They will need to develop an understanding of how plumbing and heating systems operate and how our products add value to those systems. The candidate will be based out of Nova Scotia and operate from a home office. This candidate will be expected to travel throughout NS and NF to conduct business.

Responsibilities

  • Grow existing accounts by maintaining relationships with engineers, distributors, and contractors in the plumbing and heating industry.
  • Manage operation of accounts through responding to and assisting key clients, forecasting supply and demand, and following up on project quotations.
  • Generate new leads and tackle existing leads to contribute to business growth.
  • Work with engineers to develop their project specifications around our products
  • Work with company principles to develop market strategies
  • Provide training and product presentations to engineers, distributors, and contractors
  • Travel to cities within NS and NF to conduct business
  • Attend trade shows and relevant conferences

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in technical sales
  • Experience in the plumbing and heating industry will be considered an asset
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of full sales process
  • Experience utilizing customer relationship management software
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
