Duties
- Greet and seat guests , presenting menus and providing information about specials or promotions.
- Manage other servers duties, schedule and reslove service issues.
- Manage till management, inventory.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, adhering to proper food handling and safety standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Train new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss service improvements and share feedback.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, with knowledge of fine dining or casual dining environments being advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is beneficial.
- Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities when necessary.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with guests and team members.
