Join a Dynamic Research Team – Clinical Research Assistant (Full-Time, 1-Year Contract)
Location: Hamilton, ON
Compensation: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (includes 30-minute break)

A respected research site based in Hamilton is inviting applications for the role of Clinical Research Assistant. This is a full-time opportunity, ideal for individuals who are passionate about healthcare innovation and are seeking to grow within the field of clinical trials.

Our work centers on immunology and dermatology, with an emphasis on providing access to advanced treatments through clinical studies. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support daily trial activities, data handling, and participant care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Organizing study documentation and managing participant records
  • Scheduling participant visits, sending reminders, and responding to inquiries
  • Maintaining clinical supplies and ensuring lab areas are well-stocked
  • Handling the receipt, storage, and tracking of investigational products
  • Coordinating shipments and working with external labs and couriers
  • Performing clinical tasks such as blood collection, vital signs, ECG, and injections
  • Identifying and pre-screening potential study participants
  • Collecting and entering clinical data accurately into study systems
  • Assisting with device management, troubleshooting, and participant compliance
  • Participating in meetings with research sponsors and collaborators
  • Supporting internal team operations including training and occasional onboarding
  • Helping with general office responsibilities including phone/email monitoring, supplies, and scheduling

What We’re Looking For:

  • Post-secondary education in a Science or Health-related field (preferred)
  • Phlebotomy experience is required
  • Previous involvement in research, clinical environments, or equivalent training is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping tools
  • Understanding of medical terminology and research processes is beneficial
  • Experience with EMRs (such as Accuro) or EDC platforms is a plus
  • Exposure to dermatology or immunology is considered an advantage
