Duties

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents such as contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity
  • Extensive Travel
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers to analyze case facts, identify legal issues, and develop strategic solutions
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in client meetings, taking detailed notes and providing follow-up support as needed
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to inform legal strategies and ensure compliance

Experience

  • A recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree in Law from an accredited institution with a strong academic record
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured legal documents
  • Knowledge of Indigenous issues and culture
  • Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of contractual principles and dispute resolution techniques
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough research and analyze complex information effectively
  • Familiarity with legal drafting standards and practices is highly desirable
