ABOUT THE LOCATION

Our shop is located inside the Tsawwassen ferry terminal passenger area. Customer traffic follows the ferry schedule, creating intense rushes followed by quieter periods.

This location is not in central Tsawwassen. Before applying, please verify that you have a dependable transportation plan for every scheduled start and finish time.

Morning Support employees must be inside the terminal and ready to begin work at 5:30 a.m., including weekends and holidays.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will work alongside a Manager, Assistant Manager or Shift Lead. Previous barista experience is not required. We will train the successful applicants on our products, procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service
  • Operating the point-of-sale system and handling payments accurately
  • Packaging and serving bakery and café products
  • Supporting coffee and beverage service
  • Restocking products, packaging and supplies
  • Cleaning counters, equipment and customer areas
  • Assisting with inventory and recording shortages
  • Completing scheduled preparation and cleaning tasks during quieter periods
  • Supporting opening or closing procedures
  • Following food-safety, security and terminal-access procedures

Morning Support assists the Manager or Assistant Manager with opening preparation and busy morning ferry rushes.

Afternoon Support assists the Shift Lead with customer service, restocking, cleaning, preparation and closing work.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

  • Be able to work one of the two fixed schedules in full
  • Have a reliable transportation plan for the Tsawwassen ferry terminal
  • Have at least one year of customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, food service or a similar environment

  • Be dependable, punctual and able to remain productive without constant direction
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Be able to provide an employment reference

FoodSafe Level 1 and café experience are assets but are not required.
