Full job description

The Hotel Grand Pacific is looking for a Guest Services Agent to join our team in a permanent role. An independent luxury property located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, we offer a more personalized experience focused on guest satisfaction. The chosen candidate will use their friendly personality and exceptional customer service skills to help operate and maintain an efficient front desk.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with previous front-desk experience in a hotel.

Description of Duties:

· Organize and maintain an effective front desk area
· Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate
· Provide five-star service to guests
· Accurately collect and record information
· Perform accurate and efficient accounting procedures
· Protect guest privacy
· Ensure guest satisfaction and overall positive experience

Qualifications and Abilities:

· At least 1 year of front desk or reservation experience in a 4-star or luxury full service hotel property
· Previous experience with Opera software
· Post-secondary training in Hospitality/Tourism Management is an asset
· Professional, welcoming, enthusiastic, and conscientious attitude
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Clear and effective verbal & written communication skills
· Proven accounting skills (experience handling cash transactions)
· Second language is an asset
· Available to work more than 30 hours per week
· Available for evening and weekend shifts as required
