Summary

The Junction is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily dining room operations, support service staff, and ensure every guest receives outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise front-of-house operations during service
• Ensure guests receive attentive, professional service
• Warmly welcome and acknowledge every guest upon arrival
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Maintain an organized and accurate reservation book
• Monitor the flow and pacing of the dining room
• Coordinate table availability and seating with the service team
• Communicate guest requests, celebrations, allergies and special occasions to the appropriate team members
• Assist with managing wait times and keeping guests informed
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence throughout service
• Monitor the dining room and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience
• Assist with guest inquiries and resolve minor concerns with professionalism, involving management when necessary
• Assist with VIP and repeat guests and ensure appropriate recognition
• Support the host team with opening and closing duties
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization and presentation of the entrance and host area
• Work closely with servers, bartenders, runners and management to ensure smooth service
• Follow all restaurant service standards and procedures
• Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Maître d’, host, head host or in a comparable upscale restaurant position
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, confident and welcoming personality
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service and dining-room flow
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of reservations and table management
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Professional appearance and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Additional language skills, particularly Italian, are an asset
