SE Health is proud to offer our Sponsored Personal Support Worker (PSW) Training Program, designed to help compassionate individuals launch a rewarding career in healthcare with paid training and ongoing support every step of the way.

No previous healthcare experience? No problem. We'll provide the education, hands-on training, and real-world experience you need to become a successful Personal Support Worker.

What You'll Receive

  • Five weeks of PAID PSW training at $19.05/hour
  • Monday to Friday schedule (11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
  • Paid part-time employment with SE Health while completing your education
  • Four months of virtual learning
  • Three weeks of in-person skills labs
  • Clinical placements to build hands-on experience
  • Tablet, virtual textbooks, and three uniforms provided
  • Subsidized OPSWA membership upon graduation
  • Paid travel time and mileage between clients

Program Requirements

To participate in the program, you'll need:

  • A valid G or G2 driver's licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification before your first day
  • Proof of required immunizations
  • Negative tuberculosis test completed within the past six months
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check upon receiving an offer
  • Ability to travel to clients and training locations as required
