Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Tagalog Speaking Personal Support Worker to provide high-quality care to clients in their homes or care facilities. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Tagalog and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of individuals requiring assistance. This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, and providing emotional support, all while fostering a respectful and trusting relationship with clients. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity
  • Administer medications accurately according to care plans
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing to maintain a safe environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
  • Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia or hospice care, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Document care provided and maintain detailed records in compliance with agency policies

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is advantageous
  • Familiarity with caregiving tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and mobility assistance
  • Bilingual fluency in Tagalog is required to effectively communicate with clients and their families
